I paid for something on sq engineering website (trusted site) and when it gave me a warning of somesort saying purchase was unsuccessful. Paypal says i have a payment on hold for the same amount as purchase price. I have no invoice, no receipts or anything but the money has been taken from my bank account. Paypal is very hard to get a hold of and im worried i wont get my money back?
When you pay a company then it is often pending or awaiting authorisation until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.
If they don't process the order and capture that payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment and returns back to your funding source. .

There are no transactions showing on paypal and ive looked everywhere. All I can find on paypal, through the notifications is a message stating "On 29 June 2024, you authorized a payment of $xxxx amount NZD on your card. If the payment is voided for any reason, the pending amount won't be charged. It may take a few days for this to show on your card statement" I'm concerned because that's the only proof I have that paypal has my money on hold. Will most likely contact my bank tomorrow
