Refund completed on a canceled card.

I pre-ordered a product around 45 days ago, using a linked mastercard.
My bank located in E.U, stopped their business relation with Mastercard and issued new Visa cards to customers, a few days ago.

The company couldn't deliver my order and issued a refund back to paypal.
Paypal sent me a message that the refund is completed BUT the amount was credited to the canceled mastercard.

Will the amount send back to paypal from my bank since the card doesn't exist anymore?
Is my refund lost now? Not sure what to do next other than wait.

Refunds automatically go back to the bank or card used to make the initial payment.

If the card ACCOUNT that both cards belong or belonged to is still open then it should go through fine.
However if its a completely new card / account then it may decline so ask your old card issuer if they can help you recover your refund.

Yes, after a few days the bank sent the amount to the new card. All good.
