Paypal says my email address is invalid.

I cannot receive PayPal invoices because Paypal gives a message to the vendor to "check your customer's email address" and will not allow the vendor to send an invoice.  The email address is valid, I receive email at it daily and got PP invoices in October.  It was my main PP email.  I added another email, removed it, and added it back to my account as the primary email, which required me to receive the confirmation email from PP at that address.  I had a vendor test and still can't have an invoice sent to me.  What can I do to be able to receive invoices?
