For as long as I can remember using my PayPal, whenever I purchase and use PayPal, the payment always takes quite a few days to be taken from my bank but yet my partners payments are instant. Any idea why this is?

Usually, you'll need to have a confirmed bank account and a backup payment method such as a credit card or debit card registered to your PayPal account to send money instantly. We'll charge your backup payment method if your bank declines the payment.
