Helping understanding how backup method works

Good morning,
I'm asking you as I'm quite perplexed.
I made a payment to Steam to purchase a premium currency. The funds arrive on Steam, I redeem my credits.
Only later did I realize that my prepaid card had been rejected due to lack of funds.
I went to check the payment and noticed it was made via a poste-pay spa Bank account... it was an old card saved as "bank account" but that no longer exists .
However, I noticed that my default prepaid card is used as a backup method (where I immediately loaded the funds). So the question is: I saw that Steam doesn't see the payment information, but I have the credits and also redeemed them in the game. The bank account no longer exists i always pay with the prepaid card set as default . How long will it take for the situation to be regularized and Paypal to take the money from the backup method? How should I behave? I'm very perplexed.
Thanks in advance for your answers
