Balance stays negative after 10 days.

An invoice bounced, but later was deducted successfully. But still after 10 days my balance is still negative. I got one angry paypal call so I told them check it, it has been paid. I got the answer that the bank holds the funds up to two weeks which is hogwash. I guess paypal is reluctant to fix the negative balance for other reasons. Meanwhile buying something is impossible. This feels like punishment.

Echeques take 5-7 business days to clear through to your balance, as its Easter may take longer as they are not considered business days.

I guess, but I was told by the paypal guy on the phonewould take 14 days. The only way to fix it was to pay it again with ideal. That is not an option at the end of the month when all bills need to be paid. It has now been 10 days, Easter would have been 1 day extra. Furthermore now they cannot verify me when logging on as they send the code to my landlane and it is not accepted. The problems are accumulating. I have been a customer for 20 years!

Might not clear until Tuesday if Monday is a holiday day in your country?

You need to add a mobile phone to your paypal account for receiving the code and make sure you make it primary.

I called again and the negative balance will be cleared the 3rd, so 13 days after paying. The issue with not being able to get verified was caused by the negative balance caller adding my landline to my profile. This has been such an aggravating process. The landline was dropped again but it takes 24 hours to process. Calling customer service is a thing as they have been outsourced to a former colony. Their accent and use of words is so much different from ours that this again ends up in miscommunication.
