An eBay refund is showing as 'refund pending'. How long will the refund take to complate?

Can anyone please help me. I received a refund from eBay. It is showing up as refund pending. And the money has been taken out of my bank account, so i am having high anxiety waiting for the refund.

How long do refunds take to be completed? Will the status go from refund pending to refund complete when it is completed. Will the refund come in the form of increased PayPal balance that i then withdraw to my bank account.

I would greatly appreciate any replies as this is really stressing me out.

Pending refunds can only happen for two reasons.

1. The seller has issued a refund from their bank account which takes time to process.

2. You funded the payment to the seller using bank transfer. What PayPal do here is credit the recipient on your behalf (so there is no delay in despatching your item). Then if you receive a refund in the meantime they are unable to issue this until the original bank transfer completes.
