This happens too many times with the exact same problems and lies.
No warning that a payment will be sent as an eCheque. <-- is unforgiveable.
Last night my brother needed some ignition parts for his car. He is so busy working I help him out, hence why we have a trillion billion transactions via paypal to each other. There is no security issue because we both have to pass security means to get it to our accounts. These transactions are beyond boringly predictable ergo expected, the furthest you can possibly be from "suspicious".
Last night I spoke with him on the phone, knew exactly what he needed and went off to purchase it. Tell him the cost and he send me the money.
"I'll send it by the bank transfer then"
but you guys automated a echeque that takes a week. I need that money today. There is NO demonstrable reason for the echeque method to kick in. I have called about it before and no one could show me "x+y=z". The money hasn't gone from his bank account. So he is going to send it by bank transfer and if by some miracle you guys actually complete a echeque transaction for the first time ever, I will just reimburse him by the bank.
The ONLY thing I can conclude is you don't want US to use your services to transfer money personally. Business only. Because you make no money from friends and family. This is the only logical reason.
If you want to avoid an eCheque waste of time and energy with a hint of annoyance, have money in your paypal account. It CANNOT happen then.
until paypal puts a way to physically stop eCheques option, then my conclusion is the only thing that remains.
