My friend has sent me money from their PayPal to mine and sent a screenshot showing the transaction but I haven't received it or an email about the transaction and it doesn't show up anywhere on my end.
that is almost impossible. Are you sure that this is a real friend and not someone scamming you with a fake screenshot? You can contact PayPal with the transaction id and ask what happened.
