My payment has been pending for 3 weeks and I haven't gotten word from PayPal about its status.

Someone sent me money over PayPal about 3 weeks ago via Friends and Family. Since then, the payment has been pending and I've gotten no word from PayPal about any updates. I've tried contacting them and they haven't been helpful at all. They just keep telling me to wait 72 hours over and over again and at this point, it seems like the payment is never going to clear.

Are they showing in your paypal balance but on hold OR pending?

Are you sure they were sent using the friends/family option and not goods/services?

They aren’t showing in my balance. They’re showing up in the Activity section but under the Pending section in that page. I’ve confirmed that it was sent using Friends and Family.

Your best bet is to ask customer services why then?

 

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones when available (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out.
Or
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.
