Money hasn't transferred in 72 hours

I am not a seller. My friend sent me money for my birthday and the transfer is still being processed after 72 hours, what do I do?

Did he send it using the friends/family option OR goods/services.

Does it say its a pending echeque OR its on hold as a new seller?

Is there a clearance date?

I'm unsure how it was sent and it just says pending to be transferred into my bank
