I got a reimbursement but it only appear as "transfer" in my activity.

Some days ago I got an account hacked and some purchases were made with my account without my authorization. I notified Paypal of this and got a message saying I'd be getting a refund to my Paypal balance.

The refunds appear in my recent activity as "Transfers" but my Paypal balance still shows no changes.

How were the unauthorised purchases funded?

If bank or card then they will go back there.

Normally it can take a few days up to a week to go back to a bank account and a bit longer for a card, Paypal say allow 30 days for a card (1 billing cycle) but its rarely that long.
(Can vary according to country though).

The purchases were originally done using my card, but the message I received said I would get it as Paypal balance, that's why I was worried.
