How do I stop a refund to me that is coming out of my own account? What is going on?

On Ebay I purchased a signed lot of trading cards. I paid $3,195.00, but they were out of stock, so the seller issued me a refund. For some reason paypal took $3,195.00 out of MY bank account to refund myself, or maybe to refund the seller, I don't know. Why would I refund myself? I am now in the hole over $6,000. The seller is supposed to refund ME. I am the BUYER not the SELLER. How do I get this money back or stop any more money being taken out of my account? Paypal won't respond. Help!

If you funded the payment to the seller using bank transfer. What PayPal do here is credit the recipient on your behalf (so there is no delay in despatching your item). Then if you receive a refund in the meantime they are unable to issue this until the original bank transfer completes.
