Can't Receive Money From Someone In Same Country?

I live in the USA and do a bit business with others in the USA. When a client is required to send me money, they attempt to do so but get the error message that they are not able to send to someone in the country they are attempting to send to. How is that when we both live in the USA??

Are they sending a friends/family payment OR goods/services?

Only the former is not available to receive on a business account.
