Action Fraud has informed me that it is standard procedure for Paypal to delete all vital data from ppelce and webform emails. This leaves no verifible thread unless the emails are printed and filed. I do not understand why this is. Why send the emails, if the data contained within them is deleted by the use of the hashtag symbols?

You mean the information is redacted/obscured?
Print and file them then. PayPal must do it so private information does not get into wrong hands. Especially when the info is digital.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

The redacted information was: the date, order number, amount involved, my age, and Widows ##! What is the point of sending emails that have been redacted? This information was of no use to anyone, other than myself. If Paypal was protecting my privacy/security, why show my email address?
