Hacked twice just in a few months!

so this is my first visit to this forum, I only created a login to make this post cause I am trying to contact customer support as I have a concern over their security, or more to the point, lack of security.

hello and thank you for taking the time to read this.  I have been with Paypal since probably they got started, or Ebay started to take off as a viable website to buy from.  now, not including this year, I have been hacked a couple times.  nothing serious just took a lot of time to get resolved.  probably cause they got to much personal information from me over time.  but those hacks are not what this post is about, its about the two hacks I got within just a few months of each other and the absolutely up-surd way I was hacked this last time.

background on me is I am disabled from a car accident and have always lived alone (hence why some online are getting to much personal information possibly).  I live in a remote, almost secluded, area where a one gas station town is 20min away, and a bigger town is nearly an hour.  and where I live anything online is 15%-40% cheaper than going to the store so I do a lot of purchases online.  also I am very limited on access to anything that I am sure in a big city is rather common like fiberoptic or cable internet...I have to pay for satellite to get my internet and over the air tv apps are new within the past 10 years.  now that you can understand why online shopping might be a little more important let me explain the rest.

my mother used to work at a bank so I grew up knowing what is the right thing to share and what is not.  I am normally extremely careful and to block someone who asks me for a SSN or account number or any kind, I am pretty good at whittling out the scammers.  this year I got hacked twice in a couple months, the first time was mostly my fault as my password was good but not great and not long, and I will admit my own failure on this.  they made purchases with my account, purchased things that went through, and then I had to sit down at the bank and go through what I bought and what I didnt.  it took over a month to get things back, but with the bank I also put a hold or stop on any purchases placed over a certain amount cause, like I said I live on a disability check each month; I cant save, I pay on a mortgage and utilities, monthly expenses which only leaves me with a couple hundred to do anything with.  so when scammers try to place thousand dollar purchases on my account it just automatically get blocked.

so like I said, first scam was kind of my fault but after that I created a password with jumbled letters, numbers, and symbols that if I could have made it over 20 characters I would have.  so this last time I got hacked, guess what?  they did NOT crack my password but instead used my email address and phone number to then get my full name and link my Paypal account to a stupid company called StubHub(who upon my request has blocked my emails from their site) where they purchased thousand dollar tickets to concerts and even some amazon purchases but Ha-Ha you stupid scammer, it all got blocked cause I had set up precautions with my bank.  this time there was really no wait, I just had to ask them to replace the $9 fee and I am good.  and before anyone at Paypal can contact me after this and say " oh no, that is not possible "...it most certainly is cause I showed the bank manager an example to the password I was using and she said there is NO way anyone could crack it, and that I was taking the most precautions I could but hacks happen.  after she said the password could not have been hacked, which I knew already, I said they must have done this with just my email and phone number, and as soon as I said that she was nodding her head in agreement and said " yes its happened and can happen. "...so sorry Paypal your security sucks!  so many people I talk to told me they quit Paypal for how many times they got hacked.

here is my question and reply to everything that has happened, why wont Paypal let me set (not online, cause if hackers gained access to the account they could change it) through just a mouth to mouth conversation, a set amount that is ok to be purchased, however if something goes over that amount its flagged and put on hold for my approval.  seems like they would solve a WHOLE lot of problems if they did that.  so why does Paypal have such [Removed]-poor security that, anyone who knows my email and phone number can charge great amounts on my account??  its like I have to become a hermit or something and never talk to anyone online again.  its dangerous and up-surd  that their security, from someplace that claims to be a banking institution, is so full of loop holes and easy way around things, to make the individual not safe to be with them.  I am still up in the air as to if I will keep Paypal anymore.  I changed my password, my name to actually my middle name, and changed my photo id.  I have 2 step verification and kept getting those " this is your login code, dont share it " cause they were pinging my email trying to access my account again but it all stopped whtn I removed my account linked emails and created a completely different one, but I was getting pinged every few seconds.  I dont know Paypal, your security is not worth the money you paid for it.
