Closing my account

I opened an account with PayPal the middle of last year. I haven’t used it to this day and I want to close it. But when following the instructions, there is actually no option showing “close my account” can anyone help?

Click on 'profile' (cog icon next to log out) > close account is left / middle of that page.

Yep followed that instruction but the words “close account” is not visible. Missing link maybe?

Has it got any limitations on it at all?

None that I’m aware of.

Could be that its not fully verified and so you can't close it.

As no one here can view your account then your best bet is to phone customer services and see if they will close it for you.

Click on the words "Help / Contact" at the bottom of paypals pages and use the phone option in the blue band at the top OR very bottom of page dependent on what country you are in. Log in and get the code.
When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent OR just say the word 'Agent'".
In the UK its free from any landline phone.
