MORE problems linking Paypal with UPS Account

Okay so I have read the previous post(s) on issues folks have suddenly encountered while trying to ship using UPS accounts. Several mths ago I ran into the same problem while trying to ship a label(after all these years with NO PROBLEMS) but due to shortage of time I just opted to go back & use USPS, figuring I'd fix the problem another day. Today is 9/29/11 and on 9/26 I printed a UPS label via PP, but not without having to first remove my UPS account and re-enter my existing UPS account info again. The label then printed out fine and that package was deliverd today. This evening(3 days later) I need to print another lable to ship and I run into another NEW problem where after entering the weights and dimensions & hit continue it comes back to the same page & tells me that, "

UPS is having problems identifying your account details. Please contact UPS by visiting www.ups.com or call 1-800-PICK-UPS (1-800-742-5877) for assistance". So I call the number and get the lovely automated press this for that blah, blah, blah...NONE of the options by the way are related to my issue (Not billing, not track a package) So I say, "Agent" and then it says, "we can connect you to an agent but first lets try & resolve your problem" and asks me AGAIN the same questions it just asked. DUH- My issue is NOT related!!! I say, "agent" and FINALLY I get a REAL person who proceeds to tell me that I have called the wrong number...(I CALLED THE NUMBER PAYPAL TOLD ME TO CALL) So I get a new # to call 800-468-8823. this "agent" proceeds to tell me that my account is NOT active, most likely because of inactivity on the account. HELLO!!! I just shipped a package using this acct 3 DAYS AGO. Then I say wouldn't UPS send me an email before cutting off my account AFTER ALL THESE YEARS?? And she said, " yes but you probably didn't get it??? WT HECK? so I say, "Okay let's check". I go to my email & say, "Oh yes, here is a msg from UPS dated 8/8/2011 and UPS IS THANKING me for updating my UPS account details..  I ask, "does that make sense?" Silence- Now alllll of a sudden', she can't access my account details because of it's status... BUT she just re-activated my account for me & I will be able to use it in 3-4 business days. Oh really?? So you are telling me that I need to use another carrier? She suggests I run out to a UPS shipping store. THANKS LADY, Ya know...I think I'll just use another carrier today & tomorrow!
