I won an item on ebay that costs $800. The seller posted on ebay ad that he accepted Paypal. After the auction had ended, the seller emailed me with the payment invoice along with a message asking me to pay by money order because he was having issues with his paypal. He had a 98% feedback rating so I did not suspect anything. So after sending the money order, I found out that he had sold the same item to multiple buyers who also fell for his request. I tried to get a refund from both ebay and Paypal but because I did not use Paypal as my payment method, I was not covered by the ebay-paypal protection gaurantee. This was a very hard lesson learned. So matter what the reason or the excuse...always, and I mean ALWAYS USE PAYPAL!!!
