Hi, i am new to Paypal and Ebay, i set up accounts with both and i have a few bucks in my paypal acct. I went to Ebay and ordered a dvd and have TRIED to pay for it with the funds i have in my paypal acct, however i keep getting a screen that says to enter in my credit card number......I HAVE NO CREDIT CARDS! How can i get past this and just pay for the dvd wth the money i have in my paypal account???? Why do i need to enter in a credit card number?
Check your profile and see what is your PRIMARY payment method. If a credit card is set up as primary payment then that is why you are being asked for a number. If you have never added a credit card to your account then it is not verified and you will have these kinds of problems. Although I have listed a seperate checking account as my primary method of payment, all of a sudden Paypal is taking the money from my credit card. I'm wondering if Paypal is going to abandon the e-check option in favor of everyone using credit cards. That way we would be forced to keep money in the actual Paypal account or allow them access to the credit card at all times. Let's just say I am looking for a better way to pay online all the time, one that people will accept. This Paypal monopoly is getting downright annoying.
