Long awaited goodbye to PayPal plug-in

I was extremely gratified to see that PayPal is dropping the browser plugin. I could never get it to work in any of the browsers I use (IE8 and Firefox). RIP. Smiley Tongue

I hope they bring it back - it really is a useful and convenient tool.

I appreciate the directions to the "Generate Secure Card" link on My Account page. I was not aware that a secure card could be generated in anyway other than the plug-in contained in IE. I too hope they are not removing this link.

I don't have the PayPal plugin and use the security card.  the security card also works for ebay accounts so I don't think it's going anywhere at least I hope not.

Actually yes that's exactly what the fuss is all about . No more secure cards Smiley Sad and any multiple use ones you have will stop working after Sep 22.

Secure card is part of the plug-in that is going away.

Why  would someone who finds this plugin not useful be "extremely gratified" that it was removed from thousands of people who find it a handy, useful and convenient tool.  I've used it from the beginning and love the security of generating a single use credit card number to use on questionable (or even not so questionable) sites.  I just wish the people at Ebay/Paypal actually asked their plugin customers what they thought!

I can't believe they would actually do away with such a great product!!
PP Plug-In has been the ONLY way I make my online payments for years now!!
I'm sure there are many others who feel the same way that I do!! If they do
away with this feature, I will no longer have a need for PayPal services!! I
can't believe they would discontinue such a useful, safe, secure, easy-to-use
product that so many people have come to rely on for ALL of our online
 transactions!! Very Stupid!!
