help with gift payment

HiA guy is wanting to buy a computer part off me, but is wanting to pay with payment to friends (gift) from a number of accountshe says his friends will put money into my account for the amount i am selling.is this safe for me?can i get any come backs?he tells me its 100% safe for me but not for him?any advicethanks

Welcome to the community forum. 

It is not safe to receive a payment for an item you are selling as a gift payment. Gift payments are only meant to be sent between people who know each other so there is no buyer or seller protection. This would become an issue for you if the person reported that the payment was not authorised.
