Shipping barcode???

Hi So i listed an item on friday ad and a buyer named kate got back to me asking if the item was still for sale, i confirmed this and she mentioned she is in london therefore she would pay me through paypal for the item and the delivery costs.. I have received the "paypal confirmation" saying that money has been sent to me but I first need to dispatch the item and send paypal the shipment barcode before the money is released.. Could this be fake or should I proceed with shipping the item? I thought when a buyer sends funds through paypal, i would receive it instantly to my bank account?? Things to note : 1. I asked the buyer to send a payment of £158, £150 for the phone itself and £8 to dispatch the item to them but they send me £160??? 2. Since when did paypal hold payments for the seller? paypal have mentioned that the money cannot be reversed back to the original account?? Is this a trick or what? I do not want to loose a valuable item.

Any help is appreciated!!

Scam, sounds as if you have been receiving spoof emails >>>

THIS IS A TYPICAL PAYPAL SCAM.

They encourage you to use paypal .

You will get/got a "fake" email that looks as though it is from paypal.....it isn't.

It will say the buyer has paid ...you won't have been paid.

They will tell you that the payment is released when you provide paypal with a tracking/shipping number......this won't happen.

They also threaten legal action...have a laugh at that one and ignore it as its rubbish.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send trackable, they advise it for seller protection etc but it is not compulsory.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.

Delete any emails and ignore the scammers.
