Payment Issues

First time poster, so I can only aplogize if the wrong section.

I have tried to may some payments with ebay and paypal the option for instant bank transfer had gone and kept getting error messages saying paypal couldnt process the transaction.

I called up CS to see what the problem could be, they suggested to me it could be something to do with my limitation that was removed Saturday ( this was due to Paypal flagging up a payment but the issue was resolved with the relevant paperwork, emails etc).

I spoke to someone who said he could see everything was fine, and he put an override on? what does this do? and said should be back up and running within in a hour. An hour passed and i tried again to make a payment, still no luck so I called CS again and spoke to someone else, who could see that the override had been put on, but mentioned something about security, he said to try again in the morning, when the security servers reset themselves in america and saw this override?

Can someone tell me whether I should be okay in the morning to make the payment?

Hi stefwithonef,

Welcome to the Community Forum! Sorry to hear about this.

It sounds like our internal security system was stopping your payment at the time. When this happens, we don't see an exact reason as to why our system is being flagged, but there can be a number of different factors causing this to happen.

Although there are some actions we can take on our side to try and 'reset' your account, which it sounds like my colleagues attempted to do, there is still no guarantee that your payment will complete immediately, although we always advise waiting a while and giving it a few tries.

If you're still unable to complete the transaction at this point, I'd definitely advise getting in touch with Customer Support again. Alternatively, you can contact us via Facebook (www.facebook.com/PayPalUK) or Twitter (@AskPayPal) for assistance.

Thanks in advance,

Sophie
