My friend sent me money

My friend sent me money, it showed on Gmail when I confirmed it, but on PayPal it said my balance was $0.00. He sent me $10? please help.

Please make sure your email address is confirmed on the PayPal Account, unless the email address is confirmed you will not be able to receive the funds into your balance.

1. Go to www.paypal.com/uk and log in to your account.
2. Click the Settings icon at the top of the page.
3. Beside the email address you want to confirm, click Edit.
4. Click Confirm this email and we'll send you an email.
5. Click the link in the email to confirm your email address.
