Fees for receiving money from the UK

Hi all. I haven't sold on Ebay in a while, and I received my payment through PayPal. For a £325 transaction, over £11 was taken off. From what I can tell, this was because the buyer used a credit card. WHow is that fair?

Did you think paypal was a charity and their staff do not want paying for working a full week??

How do you think they fund the service?

Does not matter how the buyer funds the payment you always pay a fee for paypals service. In the UK its 3.4% + 20p.

I think my tone may have been misconstrued slightly. I was aware that I would have to pay a fee, I was unsure about the calculations and the information available on the website is confusing which is why I was seeking clarification through the help section. Thank you for the clarification, albeit rather rudely.

3.4% of £325 + 20p = £11.25.
