Not sending Paypal email account to the buyer

After a buyer makes a purchase he gets a mail telling him that he has bought such and such product for such and such amount of money from so and so email: mypaypalAccount @ myEmail . com (i.e. the  mail account that is linked to the paypal account)

Is it and if so how is it possible to send an alternative mail address which is not the mail linked to the paypal account?

Thanks

Unfortunately you can't change the PayPal's emails nor stop them.  You can modify your Profile to use different info in the PayPal email.  The IPN info is for sending a customized email in addition to the PayPal email, many online merchants use that feature.

Hi Snowshoe,

I spent quite a lot of time going over the documentation and other web links

I am still uncertain of what the buyer will see when he looks at the details of the transaction from his paypal account.

See the link screen shot of what I don't want him to see (The yellow highlighted stuff) will using INP help for that and have you ever done something like that?

Thanks again

Hi Snowshoe,

Sorry for my long delay, I just recently sorted this out using the profile to change the email address that is sent on the paypals email and removing my service telephone number.

I set up the ipn to send my custom mails

Thanks for the help
