Hi, we are thinking of using Paypal and are a not for profit organisation, essentially a sports club, If we are succesfull in registering as such and getting the lower 1.4% charge. Does that lower charge just apply to donations or does the lower rate apply to such things as renewing membership to the club etc ?
Our not for profit rate and accounts are for registered charities only. If your sports club is registered as a charity and you were approved for the rate it would apply to all payments received. You will find more information here https://www.paypal.com/charities/ .
