New to selling via PayPal - question!

I have only ever bought things via PayPal but have recently agreed to sell some £270 pound boots via Preloved (a British selling site). I am slightly concerned that on receiving the goods via a tracked and signed for courier that, the seller could dispute the item. The boots are brand new with tags, however what happens if once the seller receives them they either tamper with the item or have a similar pair of the boots in a worse condition and pretend that these were the boots they recieved? How do I prove I sent the brand new boots and therefore eliminate the risk of being sent back a different pair of boots as well as having to refund the buyer? This of course at the moment is purely hypothetical but gives me cause for concern. Thanks for any help!

Well most buyers are honest but you are going to get the odd rogue one.

If you want 100% guarantee that things will never go wrong then that can never be given, selling is always a risk.

But you can set your buyer blocks on ebay and read up on seller protection to reduce that risk.

Failing that why not list them as "collection only" and accept cash on collection only.

It will reduce your buyer base but may be safer for you as a new seller AND its the only time ebay allow you to put cash only on your auctions ie for collection items.
