I am currently trying to sell my car ( registered) and my husband "paddock basher" ute ( unregistered) on Gumtree. Both listings have gone up in the past few days. Today I have received phone calls about both from "ethnic" men ( with very deep accents, hard to understand) wanting to know a little about the cars, how much they are- negotiating a price and wanting to pick them up, without inspection tomorrow, paying cash. When I ask if they want to inspect the cars, they say no, it will be as I listed it. Maybe if only one phone call was today, I would have not thought too much of it- but two makes me think I'm smelling a huge fat rat!!! Is this a scam, & if so, what is it they're after? To pay with counterfeit money? Or waste my time?
