Hi

I have set up a simple payment system on my website using buy now buttons but I would like the user to be able to use express checkout as an option when they buy the items rather than logging into paypal

I have got my API signature, username etc. How do I set it up with the buttons?

Thanks

Hi there, here’s how to create PayPal payment buttons:

  1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your Business account.
  2. Click ‘Merchant Services’ at the top of the page.
  3. Click ‘Website Payments Standard’ and select the button you want to create.
  4. Follow the instructions and click ‘Create Button.’
  5. Copy and paste the payment button code into your website code.
  6. Every payment button you create is saved in your PayPal account.

In ‘My Saved Buttons,’ you can change most button characteristics, view the HTML code or create new buttons that are similar to existing ones.

We’re introducing a new and improved Profile to some customers. Until all customers are using the new Profile, there are 2 sets of instructions on how to do this. Please follow the instructions that match what you see on the site.

Here’s how to view your saved buttons:

  1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
  2. Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
  3. Click ‘My Saved Buttons’, under ‘Selling Preferences’.

Or

  1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
  2. Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
  3. Click ‘My selling tools'.
  4. Click 'Update' in the 'PayPal buttons' section.

We recommend visiting the ‘Business’ page for more information about buttons and how to integrate them and use them correctly.

1. Log in to your PayPal account at www.paypal.co.uk
2. Click ‘Business' near the top of the page.
3. Under 'Business', select ‘Help and resources’.
4. Scroll down and click 'Visit Button Factory’.

This area of the website gives you lots of useful information to get your website up and running and should you expand in the future it also provides more technical information about our services for your business.
