Hi wiko, fee’s are how PayPal make their money. While it is free to send money, we do charge a basic fee for accounts to receive funds. The standard rate to accept money is 3.4% + 20p and we also offer a competitive merchant rate. We now also offer a “Personal” payments option, there are no fees for personal payments to friends and family that are funded via your bank account or PayPal balance. You can also transfer funds from your bank account to your PayPal account and vice versa at no charge.
In relation to your card, there are occasions when funds are processing from your bank to PayPal to cover a payment made, that the option to remove the card is withdrawn temporarily. This is as the card may be the only back up funding source available. Once the transfer of funds has cleared from the bank to PayPal, The option to remove the card will be restored.
