Item not as described farce

I brought an item from China which was dead on arrival.

I immediately ( within 28 days) went through the "Item not as described" process and the seller communicated with me though ebay saying he would refund me. This never happened and then Ebay and also Paypal both told me I was to late to file a claim.

I am now £60 out of pocket and I also had to pay a computer shop £95 to fit the faulty hard drive to my laptop.

What is really irritating apart from the claim by pay pal that you are protected which is obviously not the case but the seller will not communicate with me at all.

I cant even find out where the person resides.

I now tell people not to believe the guarantees that both paypal and Ebay give buyers as they are not guarantees at all.

The only guarantee you get when you buy from China is that a large percentage of expensive good will never work and you are then throwing your money down the drain.

The only winners are Paypal and Ebay
