Hi, I’m looking for some advice. I purchased an item on eBay which was faulty. This did not become apparent for 3 months taking it out of eBay protection. So, I contacted PayPal. I was sent an email from PayPal advising I send the item back for a full refund. I again contacted PayPal via phone, advising the cost to send the item back to the sellers store would be over half the amount of the item using a courier. PayPal suggested I contact the seller to see if they would supply a return label, they refused. I also told the PayPal agent if I could return it myself, the response was yes. As the store was roughly 20 miles away, I decided to return it myself.
The store gave me a receipt for the item, I took a picture of the stores representative taking it out from my vehicle. It now transpires PayPal are refusing to refund me as there are no tracking details as proof of returning. The seller also sent me a message on eBay acknowledging receipt. Is there anything I can do to get my refund? The seller has now stopped responding to my emails.

With a claim you have to provide trackable proof of delivery for a refund unfortunately.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to reply to my post. PayPal acknowledges I returned the item back to the seller. It seems unfair that PayPal just dismisses the store giving me a receipt for the returned item. Their receipt outlined the amount I was to be refunded, item I purchased, reference number, my name & address. The store even sent a message via eBay stating they had received the item back. The store has now stopped responding to my messages. Just venting my spleen I guess, just seems unfair. In future I won’t use PayPal, I will only use my credit card and utilise section 75
once again thank you.
