I’ve now waited 180 days and I’m still unable to withdraw my funds!

My money has been on hold longer than 180 days, can someone please fix my account? I’ve been unable to withdraw now for a week. I spoke to customer service and they told me wait 72 hrs which I did and it’s still not allowing me to.

If you have been told your Paypal account has been permanently limited then Paypal tends to hold any funds for 180 days. This is the same time frame that buyers have to open Paypal disputes.

If no disputes are opened in 180 days then normally you are allowed to withdraw the funds. That is as long as you are over 18, account is in your legal name and the account is registered in the country where you reside.

Paypal also may request further documentation from you before you can withdraw those funds.

You can normally withdraw via any linked bank account / card already on your permanently limited account. I don't think you can add a funding source to that account.

So your best option is to contact customer services and ask them to link a card for you OR send you a cheque with the balance in the post as per link.

Contact options for Paypal are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages...

1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out.

@kernowlass problem unsolved! I’ve literally been told wait 48 hours 3 times now. Like should I just wait another 180 days? The crazy part is my account was closed for no apparent reason, I still fulfilled the orders but only PayPal got paid and is now holding all my funds for longer than 180 days now. Can someone else offer an answer because I can already see you don’t have the answers.
