I am disabled and unable to return a product that was not what i ordered and paypal sided with aliexpress. Very sad to see this from them, i feel violated, paypal doesnt protect victims of consumer fraud it seems.Case ID [Removed]

Paypal are doing exactly what they say they will do in their buyer protection policy.

In the event of a dispute you choose your seller and not Paypal so you need to bear in mind possible return trackable costs before you go ahead and purchase. Most companies want their goods back before a refund !

.Paypal state this >>
IMPORTANT: You may be required to return the item to the seller or other party we specify as part of the settlement of your claim. PayPal Buyer Protection does not entitle you to reimbursement for the return shipping costs that you may incur.

You also have the option to do a chargeback via your card issuer instead of a Paypal dispute if you funded your Paypal payment via a credit card.

I physically have to travel hours into town to return and i would need to take public transport and book help from my carer, meaning an entire day and money spent returning a product i didnt even purchase. If i sold your grandmother something and sent her a rock instead then demanded she travel hours to return the rock for a refund how would you feel?

I would be fine about it, as I would go to the post office to return it for her.

Secondly paypal can't make legal requirements in their buyer protection policy that only you can bypass.

Yea you swooping in to save the day wasn't an option, learn how hypotheticals work. You sound like paypal staff tbh, using blanket rule statements to undermine legitimate grievances like a cheap lawyer
