Currently in the UK, but with Qatar PayPal account - I'm restricted! Please HELP!

Back in August, I requested a customer support representative to turn my account from business to personal. I provided him/her the documents they requested and he said that it would be done within to 3-5 days. It was never done. In November, my account was randomly restricted because PayPal needed more documentation from me, many of which I could not provide since it was a business account and do not own a business. I called UK PayPal and they managed to convert my account from business to personal. Now they cannot help me with my account restriction placed on my account, because my account was made in Qatar and PayPal in the UK only works on accounts made in the UK.

 

I need help, please either:
1.) Remove the restriction on my account (I have already provided my identity cards multiple times to those who requested it!)
2.) Send me, or please post, PayPal's number in Qatar, so I can contact them myself and resolve this issue.

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.

You should really withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts / cancel any subscriptions and close the old Paypal account before you move countries. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved and may need to contact customer services for help to resolve things.

To contact customer services for your country go to and select your country on the link.

Then go to help contact bottom of any page for your country > then if you get the phone option use the 'guest user' and that way you don't have to log in first to get the number.

When I go to "Qatar" using your link, I don't see a phone number that I can call. I've been struggling genuinely, SO HARD just to get in touch with someone, it's so ridiculous honestly?!

 

I really don't want to have to go through their message centre, its been absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with ANY company. I already contacted them back in August, gave them everything they asked. They told me within 3-5 business days, my account would be turned into a personal one (which never happened!) And here I am paying the consequences a few months later because of their own mistake.

 

Also to answer your question, I have an ID in both Qatar and the UK. I travel back home to Qatar and visit my parents often. Had I left the country entirely, I would have totally turned off the account.

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a private direct message via Social Media on Facebook, Twitter/X, or Instagram pages.
