Business account scam

Im pretty sure I fell for a scam. They wanted to pay me 300 for a commission and when they sent it I got an email saying I couldn’t reflexive it unless I upgraded to a business account so I had to refund it back to upgrade. I refunded them 300 and got a second email saying my account didn’t upgrade and they took another deposit out of their account. I understand this is a scam now, but I am worried since I refunded money I never actually had. What will happen to my account? am I in some sort of debt now? I’m very new to PayPal and this is stressing me out. I am also not a legal adult. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If there was nothing in your paypal balance then you were paid nothing. How did you 'refund' something you didn't receive? There would be no transaction for you to click on and use the refund option on that details page???

@kernowlass I didn’t refund it using that process. I just sent money to them directly. I was taken from my bank account and I have a negative balance. The payment is currently pending but there is no option to cancel. Is there any way to get my money back?

If you funded it from your bank account then contact your bank asap and see if they can re-call it.
