Account locked out after making $15 payment to high school. The comment had my sons name

My account got locked since I tried to pay $15 for my son's high school track and field.  I put my son's name "Ibrahim [Removed]" in the comment, and that is cause enough to lock the account for months, and ask the age of my son.  I don't get it ... the payment was for Milpitas high school?  Why ask me how old my son is or even block the payment?  This is clear name discrimination, and a "Warning" for people to just not use the comment section.  Your payment will be blocked and you account will be locked just because of what you put in the comment section when sending money.

Why is my 15 year old son such a threat to PayPal just because of his name?

I would ask PayPal customers to try this out just for the heck of it.  Send money for anything and just type "for Ibrahim [Removed]" ... this kind of discrimination is sickening.

Paypal is a worldwide company with users all over the world with all nationalities and ethnic types.

So why would you think that they would choose your son to discriminate against  🙄

Paypal correctly have to check that users of their site are over 18 so of course are doing random checks to make sure this is the case.

I'm sure there is another reason for you being locked out as I have sent gifts of money all over the world to friends and relatives without issue.

Let us be honest.  Paypal and other payment transfer systems check for Enbargoed countries and black listed names.  I have a paypal account and they have my age.  Obviously over 18 and they don't need to check me.   Does paypal need to know how old a High school is?   I sent money to a high school.  Not my son.

There is no one else left with your sons name that owns a paypal account.

They have all been banned as paypal don't like the name  😂

Just because it didn't happen to you does not mean it didn't happen.  Have some empathy.  The response was not professional.

I am sure there are hundreds with your sons name with a paypal account all over the world.

As for being professional I save that for when I am at work, which is not on here.

If it was then you were equally not being professional with such a silly comment against Paypal a worldwide organisation.
