Account issue (id)

Hello.

I ran a store (closed now for over a year) and used multiple PayPal accounts (each tied to one category on my store). I used just some invented name for the account names. Now I noticed I got about 1500 euro locked over a few accounts where they ask for confirmation of identity. Which naturally is impossible as I used an invented name. I noticed a "change name" button on the account page, but it doesn't seem to work (I did provide my real name and my national ID card). How should I proceed to get the funds to my bank account and then close the PayPal account?

The accounts have been locked for over a year now. I was able to change the address to match my real one. The email I do not have access to anymore (as it was the email from the store which disappeared as the store and domain/email were removed). The phone number is still, luckily, correct as it asks SMS verification every time I log in.

At this point, I want to close that chapter of my life, retrieve those funds I earned back then and delete the accounts. Thank you for the help.

Hello @LesterT80,

Thank you for contributing to the Community Help Forum!

I completely understand your concern about your funds. Please be informed that multiple accounts are not allowed in PayPal. You can have one personal account and one business account. Each account must be registered with a unique email address.

To ensure a more secure online payment environment, PayPal always ask the customer to enter accurate information at the time of sign up. You can only update your name if its misspelled and it's not possible to change the name to a different one. In this case, your best option would be contacting PayPal Support team to get your funds and to close your multiple accounts with false information. Please review this Help center article for the contact options to reach PayPal team.

Best wishes,

Bindu
