Literally this just happened to me as well, trying to get ahold of someone to see how to resolve this. It wouldn't let me file a claim with the resolution center.

Hello @dougkerr & @TdoggyDogg

First of all, I would like to welcome you both to the PayPal Community Forum!

If you feel like your account has been compromised, see: How do I report an unauthorized transaction or account activity? (paypal.com) & How do I report potential fraud, spoof or unauthorized transactions to PayPal?

If you have received a suspicious email, don’t click on any links; please forward it to us (phishing@paypal.com).

Also, if you have received an unwanted or suspicious invoice, in some cases, you can cancel a received invoice. However, if you can’t, we ask that you disregard the invoice and forward any email you received to us. PayPal is working on deleting invoices that were created by bad actors.

I hope this can help.

Rebecca

Don't click on anything on the email. There are a lot of spam/scammers sending out emails and text messages pretending to be from PayPal. If its an invoice you can't cancel from the app. You can login to your account on a web browser. Click on the invoice and there is a option to cancel. Cancel and disregard it. I get them often. It doesn't seem like there is a way to stop them. You can also send screenshots to or forward any emails or invoices you get to the PayPal fraud address. Why post advice that has already been given by a paypal moderator or advisor?

My apologies. You can just look over my response if you don't need help with the stated issue. I haven't read through every response. All I see as a solution on this post is from PayPal. That's only giving the links to report fraud not to find out that it is or not is fraud. I'm honestly just trying to help. Not wasting my time to get kudos.

Fair enough, its just normally on this forum its protocol that if an adviser or someone else has given the correct advice then we don't post on that thread.

The only posters that do are the moderators who sometimes correct any wrong advice or give information we are not aware of.

We post on threads where no advice has been given unless someone has clearly posted incorrect advice.
