Not sure if I’m in the correct place to ask a question but I’m trying to find out some info on identifying scam companies. I made a purchase on the internet now I can’t find a legit company linked to it, also the tracking number I have comes up in Chinese. I started a claim on PayPal but I just wanted to see what I can to investigate this transaction This is what I have Merchant Wuxi Huizheng Industry and Trade Co., Ltd.

Hi @Bwhitmore42

Good day , I hope all is well. Thank you for using community forum to be heard

When buyers pay with PayPal on any website, PayPal Purchase / Buyer Protection covers them in case there is a problem. If an item doesn’t arrive or is significantly not as described, we will help buyers get a full refund.

To qualify for PayPal Purchase Protection:

  • Use PayPal to complete your payment.
  • Let the seller know there's a problem with the transaction by opening a dispute in the Resolution Center within the timeframe noted in the transaction details. If you can't resolve the issue with the seller, escalate the dispute to a claim within 20 days of the date you opened the dispute.
  • Keep your PayPal account in good standing.

If your transaction qualifies for PayPal Purchase Protection you are covered for the full purchase price plus the original shipping charges.

You can report your problem in the PayPal Resolution Center or the eBay Resolution Center. Either way, you’ll receive the same coverage. To find out how to report a problem on eBay, go to eBay and click Resolution Center at the bottom of any page.

Please note that some purchases such as vehicles in the Motors category, industrial machinery used in manufacturing and Real Estate aren't eligible for PayPal Purchase Protection.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
Stay Blessed!

I understand that my purchase is backed by PayPal for receiving an item that isn’t even close to what was listed and that is great but it’s basically telling any seller that purposely commits these transactions that’s it’s ok to continue to make bogus listings because they know nothing will be brought about! Am I missing something here??

If you need to return it you will probably have to ship it out of the country...you will get a refund but the shipping will cost more than the refund. Paypal will not do anything about that...they did not do anything in my case. They thought that it was all well and good because I was getting a refund when in fact it would have cost me $80 to ship it back for a $54 item. I don't trust Paypal protection anymore...sad.

That's not entirely true...If the seller is out of the country then you will have to return the item to them at your expense within a time frame. I disputed a $54 charge for an item not even close to what I ordered and when I contacted the company they told me that I had to ship it to Singapore for a refund...I ordered it from a store in CA...it was shipped from NJ and yet I had to ship it back to Singapore within 10 days which would cost me over $80. I filed a complaint with Paypal explaining everything including the shipping to Singapore issue. Paypal's response to me was that I would receive a full refund once I shipped it to Singapore. Needless to say they did not read my whole complaint and they thought that they were doing me a big favor by getting me a refund...

I looked into this 5 star company a little further and found many complaints about the same thing. Most of them felt that they were protected by Paypal and found that they were not. I was shocked to see that Paypal not only didn't protect me with this purchase but that they keep allowing it to happen over and over and over again.

I have lost all faith in Paypal and will only use when I deal with businesses that I know.

I’m going to lose it on PayPal if I don’t get refunded. I order back on 6/2/21! For Father’s Day. No gift and I paid extra $12.99 for fastest shipping. PayPal was able to get a REAL tracking number cause mine was fake. But it won’t hit my post office or ups for another 10 days ish! So I’m waiting over a month for this package? NO! Let alone they can NOT prove that whatever is being shipped is coming to me or is my package! Yunexpress is whose shipping it! I never even heard of them. I’m going to look into further.

Such a liar. What you're not stating is that the full refund will be contingent on return of a dollar store level item back to China, which will cost far more than the item did originally, and PayPal will not allow any further disputation once the full-refund for return offer is made and if you refuse this "solution", PayPal will claim the case is now irrevocably closed. PayPal knows very well by now how this scam works and who the perpetrators are, and yet they continue to support them. How can anyone not conclude PayPal is a willing and continuing accessory to the scams at this point?

I had to go through so many steps just to get help. On top of that, I had a dispute and I did everything Paypal had told me to do. I had made photos of the items sent back and gave the tracking number at the cost of $71.30 and got back $45. I was out AUD 26.30. And the dispute was not in my favour. And the address given by paypal was undeliverable. What I didn’t get from my Australian post office was the address.i had contacted the post office and they didn’t give me a reply. Every step of the way was documented and advised by a paypal adviser. Why wasn’t I advised to get a documented address by the post office if that was required by paypal? I did everything paypal has asked to do. And yet now, i have paid, USD 33.73 for an item that is not as described and AUD 26.30 and paypal has taken side with an unscrupulous seller. And paypal should take action against this seller for giving a fake address. I have sent paypal pictures of how many times they post office has tried to deliver to their address. I have tried my best but the onus seemed to be on me only. Why would I pay $71.30 postage and waste my time to the post office and document every step I did. So disappointing result with paypal!

Hi All same issue for me.

Stupidly bought (in April this year) from Wuxi Huizheng Industry and Trade Co., Ltd. and eventually received an item that was NOTHING like the one they were selling...returned to China and I know that it has been delivered to them but have I got any money back yet? NO - of course not....still ongoing.

resolution centre keeps pushing back the date. Will I get my return postage money? I very much doubt it.

Really not amused that I was scammed in the first place and then for Paypal to be so poor on resolving has annoyed me massively.

As other people have said, I will now only use Paypal with companies that I know already.

Equally, you should avoid Wuxi Huizheng Industry and Trade Co., Ltd. at all costs.

thanks for listening to me rant.
