Hi @Bwhitmore42
Good day , I hope all is well. Thank you for using community forum to be heard
When buyers pay with PayPal on any website, PayPal Purchase / Buyer Protection covers them in case there is a problem. If an item doesn’t arrive or is significantly not as described, we will help buyers get a full refund.
To qualify for PayPal Purchase Protection:
- Use PayPal to complete your payment.
- Let the seller know there's a problem with the transaction by opening a dispute in the Resolution Center within the timeframe noted in the transaction details. If you can't resolve the issue with the seller, escalate the dispute to a claim within 20 days of the date you opened the dispute.
- Keep your PayPal account in good standing.
If your transaction qualifies for PayPal Purchase Protection you are covered for the full purchase price plus the original shipping charges.
You can report your problem in the PayPal Resolution Center or the eBay Resolution Center. Either way, you’ll receive the same coverage. To find out how to report a problem on eBay, go to eBay and click Resolution Center at the bottom of any page.
Please note that some purchases such as vehicles in the Motors category, industrial machinery used in manufacturing and Real Estate aren't eligible for PayPal Purchase Protection.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
Stay Blessed!

If you need to return it you will probably have to ship it out of the country...you will get a refund but the shipping will cost more than the refund. Paypal will not do anything about that...they did not do anything in my case. They thought that it was all well and good because I was getting a refund when in fact it would have cost me $80 to ship it back for a $54 item. I don't trust Paypal protection anymore...sad.

That's not entirely true...If the seller is out of the country then you will have to return the item to them at your expense within a time frame. I disputed a $54 charge for an item not even close to what I ordered and when I contacted the company they told me that I had to ship it to Singapore for a refund...I ordered it from a store in CA...it was shipped from NJ and yet I had to ship it back to Singapore within 10 days which would cost me over $80. I filed a complaint with Paypal explaining everything including the shipping to Singapore issue. Paypal's response to me was that I would receive a full refund once I shipped it to Singapore. Needless to say they did not read my whole complaint and they thought that they were doing me a big favor by getting me a refund...
I looked into this 5 star company a little further and found many complaints about the same thing. Most of them felt that they were protected by Paypal and found that they were not. I was shocked to see that Paypal not only didn't protect me with this purchase but that they keep allowing it to happen over and over and over again.
I have lost all faith in Paypal and will only use when I deal with businesses that I know.

Such a liar. What you're not stating is that the full refund will be contingent on return of a dollar store level item back to China, which will cost far more than the item did originally, and PayPal will not allow any further disputation once the full-refund for return offer is made and if you refuse this "solution", PayPal will claim the case is now irrevocably closed. PayPal knows very well by now how this scam works and who the perpetrators are, and yet they continue to support them. How can anyone not conclude PayPal is a willing and continuing accessory to the scams at this point?

Hi All same issue for me.
Stupidly bought (in April this year) from Wuxi Huizheng Industry and Trade Co., Ltd. and eventually received an item that was NOTHING like the one they were selling...returned to China and I know that it has been delivered to them but have I got any money back yet? NO - of course not....still ongoing.
resolution centre keeps pushing back the date. Will I get my return postage money? I very much doubt it.
Really not amused that I was scammed in the first place and then for Paypal to be so poor on resolving has annoyed me massively.
As other people have said, I will now only use Paypal with companies that I know already.
Equally, you should avoid Wuxi Huizheng Industry and Trade Co., Ltd. at all costs.
thanks for listening to me rant.
