We have been with PP for 2+ years with a dispute rate of around 0.3%. Our account has always beeb well maintained with no violations.
Recently the account was limited and we were asked for a series for of documents/proofs which we provided. This was a 4 week period of back and forth.
A few days ago we received an email stating that our account would be closed. This was devastating because our business is built off subscribers (over 2,000 of them via PayPal).
We are in the education and research industry.
What on earth is going on and what can be done?!

You need to contact customer services to resolve any limitation OR account specific issues.
