PayPal locked my 10+Year account permanently and then asked for personal information ?

Hello,
just be aware all.
My PayPal got "permanent limitation" badge. I asked why, first on the phone, which was hopeless, maybe the operator had 1st day at work, looked like it, as had no idea what I want to know.
Finally got some messages through, got the long copy and paste of their policy etc., no explanation given of course.
But then they asked for my proof of identity, I said... well ok, looks promising. I sent it all, clearly prooving with pics etc etc.
Not 5 minutes later same BS all over again " I regret the inconvenience you have experienced in this matter" etc.
Why did they then waste my time and energy to ask my documents, if that "limitation" is permanent ?
Did the whole PayPal got hacked ? Looks like it ! #avoidPayPal
