My ID shows I'm over 18 but PayPal mistakenly thought I'm under 18 because of my face

Hello.

I'm a user joined the service since 2018 and one day I want to change my profile name to move my middle name to last name, and then they ask for my ID which in response I send my ID that you can clearly see my birthday [removed]-xx-xxxx (which the format is yy/mm/dd). Shortly after I submitted it my account was blocked because they believed I'm under 18. Help is needed.

Hey there @Zhxrm

Thank you for your post and welcome to the PayPal Community Forum!

I understand this must be concerning. It sounds like your PayPal account may have been opened before you were 18 years old.

According to our PayPal User Agreement, you must be at least 18 years old to sign up for a PayPal account. Therefore, it will remain permanently limited. This means you will not be able to use this PayPal account going forward. If you have now come of age, you may be able to open another PayPal account using a different email address.

I would ask that you reach out to us for help with this. To contact our customer service team, click 'Help' or 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal Webpage.

You can also contact us via Facebook PM's or Twitter DM's.

I hope this helps, have a nice day!
