Hello PayPal, my account has recently been banned and i think i know why. This account was created under my father's name (Avi), we are partners in a dropshipping business, though i am the one who mainly focuses on payments and on the back-end. We have been dropshipping with PayPal for about a year now. Yesterday, our account got limited, so i immediately started supplying PayPal with the information that they needed to life the limitations, while doing that, i ACCIDENTALLY took a picture of my ID instead of my father's, therefore i think PayPal may believe that we are some sort of money laundering, identity stealing scammers. I had obviously uploaded real and legible documents of proof that show that we fulfill our orders and deliver our products. I made a huge mistake, now a huge sum of our earnings has been locked for 180 days. what do i do now?. We are willing to do everything to prove our innocenve, even go on a video call with PayPal employees and maybe even go down to their offices. Please, Help Us.

A personal paypal account belongs to the person named on the account and its against paypal rules to allow others to access that account let alone send in their I.D to lift any limitations.

Suggest you open a Paypal account in your own name (as it would be your father that would be banned if it was his account). However you would need to use another email address and funding sources etc.

First of all, thank you so much for your response, second of all, it’s not that I care about that certain account, I may open a new one if I won’t be able to set up a new payment method in my shop, but what I care about is the funds in that account, I have a nice sum of money that I need to cash out urgently, as I have bills to pay lol. Do I have to wait 180 days until my funds are available again? Is there no chance of contacting PayPal and explaining this odd situation?

By all means contact them but if the account has a permanent limitation then funds are auto-held for 180 days as buyers have up to 180 days to open paypal disputes and if they do then paypal would have the funds to refund them.
