We all know of the problems of fraudulent activity to our personal accounts & how they come about. If these fraudsters are using PayPal as a cover shouldn't PayPal accept some of the costs or responsibility to find a solution

If you get a fraudulent transaction on your account then you would have been hacked so click on the transaction and mark it as unauthorised (if that is what it was).

A hacker stole all of my PayPal and bank account balance.

The money was sent to someone in Europe (I assume because he converted the money to GBP).

Immediately after I received the email of the transactions, I opened a ticket in the message center and charged back the payments as unauthorized.

I provided proof such as reference numbers and names to Microsoft technicians who were able to help get the hacker out of my number so they can vouch for me.

The payment was even made an hour ahead of my time zone proving I couldn't have made the payment.

Less than 12 hours later, they know two Microsoft technicians can vouch that my computer was hacked, the payment was made out of my time zone, and the suspicious money drain out of my PayPal and bank account, PayPal sided with the hacker and said the payment was authorized.

I am willing to work with them, provide any details/proof I can, they won't even contact the hacker, and they say its authorized.

So if your question is will PayPal get your money back if you were hacked, NO THEY WILL NOT!

Don't trust PayPal with your money, its costing my small business money I can not afford to repay.

There are times when paypal do not cover you, that is correct, if you read up on it in the user agreement you will see that they do state that.

If your account was hacked due to what paypal consider negligence of your account then you are not covered.

That can be your email getting hacked (which would be your responsibility and not paypals) + if you click a scam link and give away your paypal log in information etc.

My entire computer was hacked not just my PayPal account.

Then your IP address would show the transaction as coming from your device and the hacking of your computer would be your responsibility and not paypals unfortunately.

I don't think that's the case because I was in the middle of using my computer when the transactions happened, I think I would have noticed someone taking control of my mouse and draining my paypal and bank accounts. The transactions were also made an hour ahead of my time so they must have been in a different time zone.
