Error message when attempting to close account

How can I close my PayPal account When I try to it says “ There's something that needs to be resolved. Please contact customer service, and we'll help you with it.” but it doesn’t say anything else to help me and nothing on their customer service helps me to close my account

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.

Thank you for your post and welcome to the PayPal Community Forum. 

I understand you are attempting to close your account but seeing an error message.

There are a few reasons why you may not have the ability to close your account:

1. Account Limitations

2. Positive/Negative PayPal Balance

3. Ongoing PayPal Disputes/Cases

4. Pending Payments

If none of the above applies to your PayPal account,  this error could indicate you either have a linked Honey or Xoom account. Because of this, you won’t be able to close your PayPal account. Teams are working on a solution to this issue.
