Account Limitation due to Name Change

Greetings, I tried changing my PayPal Name to my real one and the platform asked for identification. I proceeded to give pictures of my IRL ID but later on got an email stating that the information I gave was fake.

Changing from a fictitious name to a legally recognized name is not something that is supported. Once paypal found out you made a paypal account with fake details it would be limited unfortunately.

I provided a real identification and not a fake one. If I provided a fake one, I wouldn't complain, but now, it's an issue.

If you ''changed'' your name to your real one then surely the one you changed it 'from' would have been a fake one?

Or do you mean you changed it by marriage / divorce or legal reasons?
