Sandbox recurring payments not working

Hello MerchatTechnicalSupport,

 

Can you please enable my sandbox account so it able to process recurring payments. Below is my account information.

My Account ID is "<removed>"

Account Type :  Business-Pro

Thank you for posting to the PayPal Merchant Technical Support Community.

Can you please comment your Merchant ID from your sandbox account? I will enable recurring billing for your sandbox account.

Hi @WEN-BC ,

Can you please provide your sandbox merchant id? I can enable it for you.

To get your Sandbox merchant id:

  • Log into the developer dashboard at https://developer.paypal.com
  • Click on Sandbox Accounts (Can be found under Testing Tools)
  • Click the three dots to the right of your Business sandbox account
  • Click View/Edit account
  • Scroll down in the Account details to the Account ID (Merchant ID)

Hi @WEN-BC ,

The sandbox account is setup for Reference Transactions, and PayPal Advanced Credit and Debit Cards.

If you need DPRP in Sandbox, it will need to be upgraded to a Pro Account.

  • Log into the Developer dashboard at https://developer.paypal.com
  • Go to your Sandbox accounts
  • Click on the three dots next to the sandbox account
  • Click View/Edit account
  • Click Upgrade to Pro
  • Click Enable

Once the Sandbox Account is enabled for Pro, I can add DPRP (Direct Payment Recurring Payment) to the account. Please keep in mind that DPRP can be tested in Sandbox, however, it is no longer available for live account setup.

Thank you for replying to my message. Since DPRP is no longer available for the live
account set up, if you can turn on DPRP for us and we test in sandbox,
how can we put the process for variable monthly charges live?
